Welcome to Interstices 4, the architectural magazine for the electronic age.

The works presented on this CD-ROM were selected from a conference and exhibition titled ACCESSORY/Architecture which was convened at the University of Auckland in July 1995. A wealth of valuable resource material gets presented at conferences but it is often lost as soon as the event has passed. Thanks to new technology and a lot of hard work by our technical support team, it has been possible to capture a permanent record with some of the excitement and stimulation of the moment. This compilation will be a valuable resource for students and researchers in architectural theory.

The work is presented in four main sections:

	Keynote addresses by Jennifer Bloomer, Beatriz Colomina and Mark Wigley.
	Text and illustrations from twenty-three papers presented at the conference.
	An exhibition gallery of works in progress, student projects, and related art works.
	Four book reviews.
